Reed Riggs

Reed Riggs is a Chinese language instructor at Brigham Young University–Hawai`i. His research focuses on Usage-based approaches to L2 development, including Conversation Analysis and Construction Grammar. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Hawai`i in 2018 and his M.A. at Sichuan University, PR China, in 2012. Reed has been working in language teacher education in Hawai`i since 2012. He serves on the Hawaii Association of Language Teachers (HALT) Board as the Chinese Representative, formerly serving as Secretary. Reed hopes to highlight more areas where teachers and researchers can work together and gain from each other’s work.
